Qivana Promotes Metabolism Expert to CSO
PROVO, UT—Natural products marketing company Qivana promoted Donald K. Layman, Ph.D., to its chief scientific officer. For the past three years, Dr. Layman served as a member of the Qivana scientific advisory board, advising the company's product development, especially for its METABOLIQ weight management ingredient. He has extensive experience and expertise in metabolism research related to weight management, blood sugar control and fat metabolism. "Dr. Layman’s impressive scientific record and experience are extremely valuable to our company, and we are pleased to be working even more closely with him," said Derek Hall, Qivana CEO. "With his expertise we will continue our remarkable track record of product leadership, and innovation of tomorrow's breakthrough discoveries." Dr. Lyman is currently Professor Emeritus of Nutrition in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has more than 90 peer-reviewed publications, and holds a doctorate in human nutrition and biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. "I am honored and excited to officially join the Qivana team," said Dr. Layman.
